Our Solution

This project is carried out using the existing remote development environment available at ECI/ESN using Advanced Revelation technology and R/BASIC as a development language. Some modules of the project involve SQL Server programming.

FEATURES

To facilitate the transfer of Historical data for the heterogeneous systems, ESN/ECI was asked to develop a solution. So ESN/ECI has suggested a VB/SQL solution. Major implementation and transformation is done by the Stored Procedures at the server end. These stored procedures do lot of transformation and scrubbing before moving to heterogeneous databases. The VB routines will call these stored procedures and as well act as schedulers to execute at certain intervals of time. After the transformation the data is moved to flat images and then ftp’ied to a specific destination.

This implementation is done in a phased manner, so for the phase two ESN/ECI would probably be building an automated scheduler that uses DTS (Distributed Transformation Services) extensively.
